I Passed Out Behind the Wheel and You Nab Me for A Mobile Meth Lab?- MURFREESBORO, TENNESSEE – Boy, the things that some people do when they’re behind the wheel of an automobile. It’s like they think driving is supposed to be fun, kind of like joy riding one of those make-believe cars in an amusement park, only there’s a bit more to it than strapping in with those cheap seatbelts and honking that freaking horn.  Some people have unsafe driving skills down to a science though, like driving with one knee while they open up a beer and chug it.  Others can text with one hand and rummage around for cds with the other, then they grab the wheel effortlessly, before smashing into a semi way over in the other lane.  On the other hand, there are total idiots out there with absolutely no cruising skills, like this guy who thought he could take a snooze at the gas pump, while his synthetic speed quietly cooked in the back seat.

Police say a driver passed out in his car at a Tennessee gas station while a batch of methamphetamine was cooking in the back seat was busted over the weekend.   The suspect, a repeat offender busted multiple times for bad driving and a major league jones for crank, is being held in the Murfreesboro jail on charges of driving under the influence of speed, driving on a suspended license, reckless endangerment, possession of a controlled substance, and manufacturing a controlled substance in a moving vehicle.   Luckily the gas station clerk called police because the car was sitting at the pump for about an hour and it could have exploded at any moment due to the highly explosive nature of the household chemicals used in the process.(http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100102/ap_on_fe_st/us_odd_back_seat_meth)

According to police reports the man was charged with both possession of the drug and manufacturing the drug because the latter stages of the chemical process to make it was in progress when he was found passed out in the car. After being removed from the car the driver was lectured on the dangers of making meth, then he was subsequently beaten damn near to death afterwards, just so he could finally learn a lesson about the evils of chrystal meth.  Because most of the meth-making ingredients can be explosive, the state police bomb squad was called in and the gas pumps were shut off as a precaution.  The moral of the story is it’s probably wise to be high on your own supply, if you’re going to drive around with a mobile meth lab in the back seat.  At least you won’t pass out for a good day or two.
