The “Nurse of the Year” Ain’t Really a Nurse-  NORWALK, Connecticut –  Have you noticed how many people are pulling fast ones lately in order to make out big financially or for promotion at work?  It’s like the whole freaking world is going nuts, then it’s off to hell in a handbag.  You got idiots like that weirdo in New York who put on some lipstick and wig and tried to scam his dead mother’s social security checks, only it worked for 8 glorious years until he got nabbed.  Or, how about Wu Tang rapper Old Dirty Bastard?  He was pulling down some nice change spitting rhymes, but was also getting $1220 a month in food stamps and free rent for his wife and kids, but he didn’t get busted for welfare fraud until after he died.  Such criminal creativity must be contageous because an award winning nurse went to a lot of trouble to pay for an award that didn’t exist.

A Connecticut woman who  shelled out $2,000 to stage a party after winning a”Nurse of the Year” has been charged with fraud and impersonating a nurse in a place of medicine.   Prosecutors say the doctor who employed the woman ast his clinic believed she was an experienced nurse with a valid state license, especially after she was named the Connecticut Nursing Association’s “Nurse of the Year” last August.   But the joke is on the doctor who hired the impersonator.  According to research reported on the case there is no such thing as the CNA (

The state’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit began investigating after a young, male patient complained about  the nurse who kept trying to “rub his nads while he was asleep.”  She faces up to five years in prison if convicted of reckless endangerment, deviant sexual behavior, innappropriate touching my a medical professional, and criminal impersonation of a medical professional.  Once released she will also have to serve time in a halfway house and will have to give free physicals to local high sport teams.  While in jail she will get to earn a nursing certificate paid for by The Impersonator Club of America and the American Pedaphile Group.
