Hello fellow consumers.  Welcome to The 115.  This blog was created to spread the word of the counter culture in America, voices of those who have been locked out of the mainstream, or those who are under the illusion they are functioning in a politicallyand socially dysfunctional society.  Let’s face it.  Everyone, educated or ill-informed, has an opinion.  If that’s the case, post what you will on this domain.

The name for this site basically came in response to the Miami Dolphins’ 1-15 2007-2008 season, a horrible record for an NFL team with a huge payroll and holders of the first undefeated season in professional football.   How ironic?  How funny?  How sad? Hopefully everyone will understand the content here, after rummaging through the posts.

The idea for this blog is, in all actuality, a response to all of the stupidity infecting  mainstream American sociecty, most of which is passed on by brain dead politicians and war mongers running corporate Utopia.  Though there is more to it than that, and much less than that, the opinions and content of this site are from everday people living inside and outside of the mainstream.  After all, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, even if they’re wrong. So, post your comments, ideas, favorite links or whatever you like.  The idea for this blog is to provide and collect cool content.

 Dr. Rick Kay earned his Ph.D. in American/Ethnic American Literature from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2005.  Since 1999 he as been a professor at South University, Thiel College, Penn State University and Beaver Community College.  He has published articles on Richard Wright, James Baldwin, The History of Black American Literature and the Bhavat Ghita, and is also currenty working, very slowly, on a book titled Erosion:  Portrait of an American Steel Town in Black and White.
