The Bush Follies

Bush Has Lost His Mind- For the second time in a month Little Georgie Bush has lost his mind.  In a ballsy act today, W pushed congress to approve his $720 million emergency global food aid bill.  Bush’s first proposal asked for some $200 million in aid that would be sent to Africa to help cover the increasing cost of food.  Another order for $350 million was given shorty thereafter, but both are still pending.  “In some of the world’s poorest nations, rising prices can mean the difference between getting a daily meal and going without food,” Bush said. “The American people are generous people and they’re a compassionate people. We believe in the timeless truth to whom much is given, much is expected” (Politics: Bush).  The new funds are aimed at meeting immediate needs with direct shipments of food aid, and the White House said they would allow for millions more people to get help. Emergency aid accounts for $620 million of the request, said Steve McMillin, deputy director of the president’s Office of Management and Budget.  The funds also have long-term aims, with $150 million aimed at boosting U.S. programs to help farmers in developing countries increase productivity and make cash purchases of local crops, so communities are less in need of emergency help in the first place.  Some have blamed the food crisis in part on Bush-backed policies that push food-based biofuels such as ethanol as alternative energy sources. Bush says diverting corn and soybeans into fuel is still a smart approach, though he favors increasing funding for research into eventually using wood chips or switchgrass rather than food crops.  Geezus tap dancing Christopher Georgie.  Have you gone completely insane pal?  Every week you seem to be digging a deeper hole for this country and you have little or no remorse for your stupidity.  This whole issue is a direct result of your brilliant idea to push ethanol as a new fuel source.  Sure, that stuff works but it gets less miles per gallon than good old Saudi crude and the push for this technology has driven up the price of cheap staples like corn and wheat, not to mention energy costs at the plants that produce it.  Once and for all stupid, get your head out of your ass and get with the  program.  You have absolutely no idea what you are doing and your special interest governing has the US in debt up to our eyeballs.  “There is no doubt in my mind that that no-brained jackass George Bush, son of Satan himself, should be impeached for just being plain stupid.”  Hunter S. Thompson on George W. Bush.
