World Bank Urges Opium Measures- The world bank today urged wealthy nations to invest some $2 billion dollars in rural Aghanistan as a counter measure to ward off opium cultivation and trafficing.  In the plan, invested global capital would bring some of the poorest and most isolated areas paved roads, irrigation and other rural development.  One question.  Why the hell would anyone want to do that?  One, you’d be cutting off the world’s supply of herione and opium which would have jonesers and junkies rioting in the streets.  Two, the dirt-poor farmers growing the poppy plant would be stripped of their way of life and they’d be forced to join Al Quaeda. Three, let’s be honest, there ain’t much to rural Aghanistan other than massive piles of rocks and a few hundred rusty tanks. Four, and most important, many of the world’s leading terrorists are being harbored in that particular area so some other dipshit like W just might come in and bomb the hell out of those god forsaken roads sooner or later.   So, why the hell should any foreign nation invest money, stolen from it’s good citizens, in a pile debris that somebody is going to blow up?  Be patient, folks.  Bush and Cheney will have their Comrads at Halliburton there by mid-morning with a team of surveyors and a group bankers from China who are looking to make a quick buck tax free(http://the115.wordpress.com/news/).
